The 2001 Honda Civic LX comes as a couple and as a sedan. It is one of the higher-end trims of the Honda Civic released in the 2001 model year.

Engine and Transmissions:

The 2001 Civic LX has a 1.7-liter 115-horsepower inline 4-cylinder engine, which is the same engine the base DX trim uses, but has less horses than the HX and EX versions. A 5-speed manual is the standard transmission, although 2001 Civic LXs with 4-speed automatic transmission are very common.

Safety Features:

Power door locks, power windows, and driver and passenger airbags are standard in the 2001 Civic LX, although the sedan version also has child safety door locks. Front side airbags, keyless entry and vehicle anti-theft systems were optional in 2001 Civic LXs.

Interior:

Cruise control, tachometer, tilt steering wheel, sunroof, air conditioning and a stereo system consisting of a radio are standard in the 2001 Civic EX (CD players are optional). Apart from the tiit steering wheels, none of the aforementioned features are either standard or available in the DX and HX versions of the Honda Civic.

Exterior:

The 2001 Civic LX is either a two-door (coupe) or four-door (sedan) vehicle. All 2001 Civic LXs all come with standard 14-inch alloy wheels (alloys were optional), as well as rear window defoggers. Some EXs might have fog lights, rear spoilers, and mud guards.

Colors:

The 2001 Civic EX is available in Clover Green Pearl, Nighthawk Black Pearl, Rallye Red, Satin Silver Metallic and Taffeta White. Beige cloth interior adorns the green and white Civics, while black-colored cloth covers the black, red and silver ones.
