2005 Honda Civic LX
2005 was the last year for the seventh-generation Honda—preceding a redesign for the 2006 model year, the 2005 Honda Civic LX represents an average trim level for the car that Honda offers in North America as a sedan or coupe.
The 2005 Civic LX is driven by a 1.7-liter, SOHC 4-cylinder engine, which is estimated to get 32 miles per gallon in city driving and 38 and on the highway with a manual transmission. According to Honda, an optional automatic transmission would bring city MPG down to 29 in this model, a savings of three miles per gallon.
Dual stage front airbags and LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) are standard safety features for the 2005 Civic. Anti-lock brakes are only available on the EX trim. Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD) is not available on the 2005 Civic. The tire pressure monitoring system on later model years is also not featured.
The 2005 Civic LX comes with air conditiong (optional on the base model DX) and remote entry. A number of style features complement the design on this trim. Audio is an AM/FM audio system with 4 speakers and a dash clock.
For drivers who want features for this model year, the LX can be an attractive option over the base model DX. Buyers get competitive MPG and classic Honda engineering that they can depend on for the road ahead. Look for low mileage options for this used sedan for getting an affordable Honda Civic at your local dealership.
