The 2007 Honda Civic LX is a mid-range trim for the second market year of the Civic's "eighth generation," where a split U.S./E.U. sale platform provides a continuance of this nameplate for the Japanese auto maker. The LX option is a step up from the basic DX trim for the Civic, with more in terms of convenience and comfort.

As with successive model years, the 2007 Civic LX ships with a 1.8-Liter 16-Valve SOHC i-VTEC engine that is the same as that in the DX and EX models, a 140 Horsepower (HP) block with an estimated 26 miles per gallon in city and 34 mpg in highway driving with the standard 5-speed manual transmission. A 5-speed automatic transmission is also available for the 2007 LX.

Buyers can expect the same range of safety features on all 2007 Civic models, from dual-stage dual-threshold front airbags, to anti-lock brakes and Electronic Braking Distribution (EBD). But there's a lot more in the LX, as a progression from the DX trim. An air conditioning system comes standard in the LX, for drivers who have to contend with hot regional climate. The 2007 LX also includes steering wheel mounted cruise control, power doors and full power windows, and a 160-Watt AM/FM/CD Audio System with 4 Speakers. LX drivers have MP3 capability and a speed sensitive volume control. (Steering wheel mounted audio comes in the EX trim). A range of exterior style features also make the LX a competitive package. Ask local dealers about what's available in a 2007 Honda Civic LX for getting more options for the model year.
