The Audi S6 is the sport-refined version of the luxurious A6 sedan, boasting more power, exclusive design details and a level of technological sophistication few cars achieve.
The S6 is equipped with a powerful 435-hp 5.2-liter V10 engine with direct fuel injection, a six-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic manual mode and paddle shifters, and quattro all-wheel drive. Building on the A6 4.2 sedan, every S6 is outfitted with a power sunroof, bi-xenon adaptive headlights, leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, satellite radio, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and Audi's Multi Media Interface (MMI). Additional standard equipment exclusive to the S6 includes a sport-tuned suspension, 19-inch alloy wheels with performance tires, aluminum-optic exterior mirrors, sport seats and aluminum interior trim elements. Standard safety features include electronic stability and traction control, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist and front, front side-impact and overhead curtain airbags; rear side-impact airbags and a new Audi Side Assist blind spot detection system are optional.
The Audi S6 is redesigned for 2009, with fresh exterior styling that includes a revised front bumper, grille and foglamps, as well as new front and rear lighting with LED daytime running lamps. New for 2009, the Advanced Key passive entry/start system, an Audi Music Interface with iPod connection and a voice-activated navigation system with integrated rear camera parking assist are now standard.
Intelligence on the Upcoming Audi S6 Models Following an extensive redesign last model year, the Audi S6 carries over with minimal changes for 2010. Heated rear seats are now standard, and a new third generation MMI (Multi Media Interface) makes its debut, boasting a DVD player and internal memory for music file storage.
Resale Value for the 2009 Audi S6
When considering the purchase of a new vehicle, it's important to keep in mind what the eventual resale value will be. It is expected that the 2009 Audi S6 will have a good resale value. This assumes that after 3 to of 5 years of ownership the vehicle will be in good condition. Other factors include the optional equipment you choose and the total mileage on your vehicle.
