The Hyundai Sonata returns this year with improved interior design, more power and better looks. These refinements give it an edge over most others in its class.
The Hyundai Sonata is a four-door, five-passenger sedan, powered by a 175-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder, with the choice of a five-speed manual or a Shiftronic five-speed automatic transmission. A more powerful 249-hp 3.3-liter V6 mated to a Shiftronic five-speed automatic transmission is also available. Safety features on all Sonatas include the mandatory dual-stage front-seat airbags, front-seat side-impact airbags for torso protection, and full-coverage side curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake assist, and electronic stability control with traction control.
The 2009 Hyundai Sonata is refreshed with improved engine choices, a revised grille and headlights, and chrome accents in the front and rear bumpers.

Resale Value for the 2009 Hyundai Sonata
When considering the purchase of a new vehicle, it's important to keep in mind what the eventual resale value will be. It is expected that the 2009 Hyundai Sonata will have a good-fair resale value. This assumes that after 3 to of 5 years of ownership the vehicle will be in good condition. Other factors include the optional equipment you choose and the total mileage on your vehicle.
