The Pontiac Vibe is popular for its combination of sporty styling and five-door hatchback functionality. For 2009, this versatile performer has been redesigned, with interior and exterior enhancements, more power and available all-wheel drive.
The 5-passenger Vibe is available in two front-wheel drive trims (Base and GT) and one all-wheel drive trim (Base). A 132 hp 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine is standard on front-wheel drive Base trims, and is paired with either a 5-speed manual or an optional 4-speed automatic transmission. A 158 hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is standard on GT and all-wheel drive trims, and available for the front-wheel drive Base trim. The 2.4-liter engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or optional 5-speed automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control on front-wheel drive Base and GT trims, and a 4-speed automatic transmission on the all-wheel drive trim. All Vibe trims are equipped with 16-inch wheels, automatic headlight control, satellite radio and a CD player; GT trims add a rear spoiler, 18-inch alloy wheels, upgraded audio and exclusive leather-accented upholstery. Standard safety features include electronic stability control, traction control, anti-lock disc brakes, six airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The redesigned 2009 Pontiac Vibe is based off of the redesigned 2009 Toyota Corolla platform.

Resale Value for the 2009 Pontiac Vibe
When considering the purchase of a new vehicle, it's important to keep in mind what the eventual resale value will be. It is expected that the 2009 Pontiac Vibe will have a very good resale value. This assumes that after 3 to of 5 years of ownership the vehicle will be in good condition. Other factors include the optional equipment you choose and the total mileage on your vehicle.
