Because today's newer vehicles use fairly complicated transmission systems, visiting a mechanic or service center that specializes in a particular make or model vehicle transmission will allow you to receive higher levels of service and usually have the job completed in a much shorter timeframe. Also, mechanics or service centers that provide specialty transmission repair will usually have all of the specialized tools and parts that will be required to quickly fix your car's faulty transmission.
