Chevrolet Monte Carlo Generations
For each major redesign, a vehicle is said to begin a new "generation."
The Monte Carlo comes in LS, LT, and SS trims. The LS and LT come with a 211hp 3.5-liter V-6 that's now compatible with E85 fuel. The SS comes with a 303hp 5.3-liter V-8 that has the ability to shut down 4 cylinders for better fuel economy. All the engines are controlled by a four-speed automatic transmission. The most performance enhanced trim, the SS, has a stiff suspension, 18' wheels, and NASCAR-like design cues. Tire pressure monitoring system and OnStar come standard with all trims.
The following model years make up the most recent Chevrolet Monte Carlo generations:
1995 - 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
