The 2009 Hyundai Sonata Limited PZEV blends the features-rich top trim for the year's Sonata, with the critical PZEV designation for meeting the standards of new fuel emissions laws in some states.

As with all of the year's Sonata models, the standard option for the Hyundai Sonata Limited PZEV is a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine that delivers 175 horsepower. In the Limited trim package, this engine gets an EPA estimated 22 miles per gallon in city driving and 32 MPG on highways. Buyers of the Sonata Limited can choose a 3.3L V6 for an estimated MPG of 19/29. A five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic SHIFTRONIC(R) transmission must be selected.

As for safety features, this model boasts Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and a Traction Control System (TCS), anti-lock brakes, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). All of these protect the driver and passengers, along with the Sonata's 5-star crash rating. In-dash technology includes a trip computer and advanced lighting systems.

Audio on the Sonata Limited is a 6-disc CD Changer with Infinity® speakers, subwoofer and external amplifier. iPod®/USB and auxiliary input jacks provide MP3 play. Steering wheel mounted audio controls are standard.

The wheels on this trim are 17-inch alloy wheels carrying 215/55R17 performance tires. Keyless entry, as well as a whole lot of style and convenience features are also part of the Sonata Limited PZEV option. Buyers can expect the 15 year emissions system warranty, and certification that their top of the line Sonata is a SULEV (Super Low Emissions Vehicle) that will contribute to the trends of high-tech, low emission driving for the future of the planet.
