Kia Sportage Generations
For each major redesign, a vehicle is said to begin a new "generation."
The Sportage is a five passenger vehicle that comes in two trims: LX and EX. The choice of front-wheel or four-wheel drive is available for both trim levels. Engine choices are either a 140-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder or a 173-hp 2.7-liter V6. A four-speed automatic is standard for all V6 models, while a five-speed manual is standard on the four-cylinder LX. Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, electronic stability program, traction control, privacy glass, and six airbags, including side curtain airbags.

2005 - 2009 Kia Sportage
Major changes included: The second generation Sportage is available with a 2.0 liter I4 engine, as well as a 2.7 liter V6 in LX and EX trims. The Premium EX V6 is appointed with Full Power features, optional heated leather front seats, and other convenient appointments. Air conditioning and CD player and standard on all models. | |
