Lexus IS 350 Generations
For each major redesign, a vehicle is said to begin a new "generation."
The IS 350 is propelled with authority, benefitting from a 306-hp 3.5-liter V6. It has VDIM electronic stability designed to keep the driver out of trouble. More sophisticated braking and electronic stability systems augment its additional performance. Safety features include driver and front-passenger knee airbags. The brakes are large and effective four-wheel discs, clamped at the front by aluminum four-piston calipers. Augmenting the big brakes are ABS, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, and Brake Assist.
The following model years make up the most recent Lexus IS 350 generations:
2006 - 2010 Lexus IS 350
Major changes included: The IS received a complete redesign in 2006. In its second generation, the IS is offered in a RWD IS250 and AWD IS250, as well as a RWD IS350 trim. It drops the IS300 trim from the previous generation. The IS250 uses a 2.5 liter V6, while a 3.5 liter V6 injects 306 horsepower into the IS350. A Premium Package adds heated seats and Maplewood trim, while a Sport Package adds a sport tuned suspension and Xenon HID headlights. | |
