Nissan Xterra Generations
For each major redesign, a vehicle is said to begin a new "generation."
The Xterra is available in four trim levels: X, S, Off-Road, and SE. Rear-wheel or four-wheel drive is available, with the Off-Road only available on four-wheel drive models. All models are powered by a 261-hp 4.0-liter V6. Six-speed manual and five-speed automatic transmissions are available. With the availability of features like alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, roof rack, and skid plates, the Xterra really is a go anywhere vehicle. Standard air-conditioning and bucket seats make any journey more civilized. Safety equipment for all Xterra's consists of dual-stage front supplemental air bags, front seatbelt pretensioners, traction control, stability control, and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.

2005 - 2010 Nissan Xterra
Major changes included: The second generation Xterra was designed on a new platform shared by the Titan and Frontier. It uses a 4.0 liter V6 engine and a standard 6-speed manual transmission. It is offered in X, S, Off Road, SE trims, with air conditioning and Power features standard. | |
