Pontiac Solstice Generations
For each major redesign, a vehicle is said to begin a new "generation."
The Solstice comes in two trims: the Base and the GXP. The Base is powered by a 173-hp 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine and the GXP has a 260-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual or an optional five-speed automatic transmission. The Base comes equipped with: electronic traction and stability control, a limited slip rear differential, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, 18-inch alloy wheels and satellite radio. The GXP adds: dual-exhaust tips, sport-tuned suspension, a leather shift knob and steering wheel and carpeted floor mats.

2006 - 2009 Pontiac Solstice
Major changes included: he base Solstice is powered by a 2.4 liter VVT engine. The GXP trim is powered by a 260 horsepower turbocharged 2.0 liter. It is available in coupe and convertible body styles, with a hardtop coupe coming out in 2009. | |
