Scion Cars
Scion is a United States-only division of Toyota Motor Corporation founded in 2003. Scion's goal is to appeal to Generation Y consumers, expected to dwarf the market size of Generation X by 2020. Scion grew from Toyota Project Genesis, a failed effort to bring younger buyers to the Toyota marque in the United States. Scion is Toyota's entry-level brand, slotting below Toyota in their lineup.

Changes in the Scion Cars Line-Up
The 2009 Scion tC Spec package has been discontinued, but the tC is otherwise unchanged and is expected for a makeover sometime in 2010. The xB was all new for 2008, and receives no major changes for this year. The xD also remains largely unchanged from last year’s model.

2009 Scion’s come with a 36 month / 36,000 mile basic and 60 month / 60,000 mile powertrain warranty.

News on Scion Cars
Scion vehicles have consistently placed high in Consumer Reports reliability and customer satisfaction surveys, and retain high resale value for their class. Scion has also been in the news recently for its unique advertising methods. With gutsy television commercials that feature their own products being destroyed and billboard ads that challenge potential buyers to decide whether they like or dislike their cars, Scion has puzzled consumers and marketing specialists alike.
