This car is a beautiful metallic green 1967 Lotus Elan S3 Fixed Head Coupe. The car was obtained around 1995. The body was off about 12 years ago and a new Spyder frame/suspension was fitted. Body flares were already glassed in when the car was purchased. The motor is very strong and was completely rebuilt in 2002. Approx. 165 HP. The car was chassis dyno’d and tuned to 140.2 HP at the rear wheels (I will provide documentation to buyer). The motor was torque plate bored with new JE pistons and Carrillo Racing rods. Cylinder Head was ported and fitted with the oversized valves. High performance large lift cams with adjustable cam sprockets were also installed. Steel crank with steel main caps, 45mm Dellorto carbs, Tilton aluminum flywheel with Tilton Rally Clutch just to name a few of the items installed (see below for complete list). I estimate the motor has about 3500 miles since the rebuild in 2002. Total car miles are unknown due to the fact that I don’t have the original gauge or any paperwork. I estimate approx. 7000 miles since the car was originally purchased. The car is a blast to drive. It has never been raced or been on the track/slalom. Suspension is tight, brakes and clutch are in good working order. The body was painted around 1995 in Hampshire metallic green (This is a Honda Accord factory color). The paint is still good but does have some minor chips and scratches. All gauges and switches work. Electric door windows, tail lights, headlights bulbs, heater, wipers, and indicators all work.
